ABOUT BOB MORRIS
I am an Executive Coach and an OD & Talent Management professional. In my role as Principal and Practice Leader for the Executive Coaching and Organization Change Management practices, I focus on improving the effectiveness of organizations, teams, and leaders. I am an experienced senior leader, having had VP-level roles in the HR organizations at Fortune-100 companies, and have served as VP/P&L leader of a consulting and coaching organization, as VP of Manufacturing in a medical device corporation, and as a combat veteran Naval Officer. As an Executive Coach who has provided coaching to senior executives and high potentials for over 15 years, I work closely with leaders to identify the obstacles that might be preventing them from reaching their full potential and help them take the necessary actions to address them. I utilize assessments to help coaching clients gain a deeper level of self-awareness, and help them to identify the long-term behaviors necessary for their success.I focus my executive coaching practice on helping executives address critical elements required of successful leaders: Setting high expectations, creating clear accountability, and instilling a sense of ownership and commitment in others. I help them accomplish those tasks in a manner that creates engagement, responsibility, and respect. I work with the leader to identify practical, pragmatic solutions - calling on my years of experience in VP-level roles in Human Resources, consulting, and manufacturing as well as P&L responsibility. I have led the OD and Talent Management functions of five Fortune 10-and-larger corporations, where I had responsibility for all aspects of Talent Management, including the creation and management of High Potential development programs, coaching of High Potential community members, and making assignment recommendations for High Potentials. In addition, I led the Talent Review and Succession Planning systems, as well as the Performance Management and internal coaching programs. I have worked with and provided coaching to leaders from a variety of countries and cultures, including South America, Latin America, the UK, Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia, and North America. My clients have included major companies in the biotech, pharmaceutical, food, finance, automotive, industrial manufacturing, life sciences, and electronics industries as well as the World Bank and United Nations. I am certified in various assessments including Hogan, DiSC, Watson-Glaser, and I have a Top Secret clearance.
