About Bobby G Herring

I served in the United States Air Force from 19••••98. In 1998, I was hired by the Caddo Parish Sheriff\'s Office and started in corrections. In 2003, I was assigned to patrol and in 2005 became a field training officer. In 2006, I became a detective and was assigned to the Caddo Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force. In 2011, I received a federal commission and served on the United States Secret Service Task Force. During this time, I continued to served on the Caddo Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force. In 2014, I began assisting as the Public Information Officer for the Caddo Parish Sheriff\'s Office, while continuing my primary duties as a detective. On November 16, 2015, I was promoted to sergeant in the Criminal Investigation Division for the Caddo Parish Sheriff\'s Office and supervised the Caddo - Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force. On January 4, 2018, I was transferred to supervise the Person and Property Crimes Unit. During this time I was also assigned to the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force. On June 14, 2018, I was promoted to Captain over the Criminal Investigation Division. As the Division Commander, I\'m responsible for the Person & Property Unit, Cyber Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Investigation Unit, Youth Services Unit, Financial Crimes Task Force, Narcotics Unit, and FBI, DEA, US Marshal, ATF and Secret Service Task Force Officers.
