ABOUT BOB HOMBACH

Robert (Bob) Hombach is a retired CFO/COO with 27 years of financial and operational leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical & medical device sectors. Extensive knowledge across all areas of finance, including capital markets, investor relations, and M&A; as well as manufacturing/ supply chain/purchasing and IT. Bob is currently a member of the Board of Directors of three public companies: BioMarin (BMRN), a leading biotechnology company focused on rare diseases; Henry Schein (HSCI), a leading dental and medical supplies and equipment company globally; Embecta (EMBC), a leader in insulin delivery systems globally; and Seaport Therapeutics (private), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel neuropsychiatric medicines.Previously, Hombach served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Chief Operations Officer for Baxalta (BXLT-NYSE), a $6B global bio-pharmaceutical company spun off from its parent, Baxter (NYSE: BAX), in 2015. He drove the process to successfully launch the Company post-spin, and played a key role in Baxalta’s defense against an unsolicited bid from Shire PLC, leading to a $32B merger that delivered exceptional value to shareholders. Before Baxalta, Bob served as CVP & CFO for Baxter (2010 – 2015). Partnering closely with the CEO and the Board, He drove the strategic decision to split up Baxter; he led corporate-wide process improvement efforts, driving $300M+ in cost savings across operations, G&A and commercial organizations; executed $5B+ in M&A deals, and managed $200M Baxter Ventures fund. Previously he served on the Board of Naurex, Inc, a private pharmaceutical company acquired by Allergan in 2015 for $560M (Audit, Compensation, and Transaction Committees). He has an MBA from Northwestern University/Kellogg School of Management; a BS in Finance cum Laude, University of Colorado; an Elijah Watt Sells Award Winner on November 1990 CPA exam, and CMA. Recognized by IR Magazine as a Top 100 US CFO (ranked #7 in both 2013 & 2014) as voted on by institutional investors across all industries.
