ABOUT BETSY BUGG HOLLOWAY
Betsy Bugg Holloway is a global marketing executive with a long track record of innovative leadership and operational expertise in growing and improving organizations. She serves as Vice President for Advancement and Marketing for Samford University and leads marketing, branding and philanthropic initiatives for the university. Before joining the university’s administration, Betsy served as Professor of Marketing, Dwight Moody Beeson Chair of Business and Hackney Family Research Fellow in Samford’s Brock School of Business. She served previously as a Visiting Professor at Kiev Business School, University of Jordan, and Beijing Institute of Technology. Holloway has published extensively and her scholarship has been widely cited and recognized. Betsy serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice. Prior to her academic academic career, Betsy was employed by a global pharmaceutical firm, Scandipharm, Inc.(now part of Adare Pharma Solutions). She served as the company’s Mid-West Area Manager, Latin America Business Manager, and Director of International Business Development with oversight of global operations and offices in Argentina, Canada, Denmark, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Betsy is actively engaged in numerous business and civic organizations. She serves on the board of directors for ServisFirst Bank (NYSE: SFBS) and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and on the Board of Advisors for Founders Advisors, a national merger & acquisitions firm serving middle-market companies across a range of industries. Betsy previously served as board president for the Rotary Club of Birmingham, Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society, and the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama (PARCA). She is a former board chair of Scholarships for Kids and the I.P.C. Foundation. Among her honors, Betsy was selected to serve her alma mater as the Young Alumni Trustee on the Vanderbilt University Board of Trustees. She was a 2011 Aspen Institute Ideas Festival Scholar and is a graduate of both Leadership Birmingham and Leadership Alabama. Betsy is an avid traveler with experience in 90 countries and lived previously in England, France and Japan. She maintains a global network of friends and associates.
