ABOUT BARBARA SCHMAL

My passion for real estate began early in my life. Growing up, I often helped my father, who built homes, and this inspired me to pursue a career in real estate. I obtained my real estate license in 1990 and began my journey as a Realtor in Indiana and Illinois, working with McColly Better Homes and Gardens from 1990 to 1998. During this period, I had the privilege of learning from exceptional mentors and gained extensive knowledge about the real estate market for both existing homes and new construction. In 1998, I moved to Florida and started rehabbing homes in the Clearwater area. Transforming tired, neglected houses into vibrant homes became a rewarding endeavor. To further my career, I returned to real estate school and earned my Florida Real Estate License in 2012. Committed to providing the best customer service, I continued my education, earning several certifications, including the GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) SRS (Sellers Representative Specialist) RSPS (Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist), and PSA (Pricing Strategic Advisor). I received my Broker\'s License in 2016 and have been a Florida Real Estate Instructor since 2014. In 2018, I was honored with the Five Star Professional Award for Tampa Real Estate Agent, and in 2020, I obtained my CAM (Community Association Manager) License. Currently, I am a Florida Certified Real Estate Instructor and the proud owner of Real Estate Training School. I have also taught real estate licensing classes for Bob Hogue and the Tampa School of Real Estate.Originally from Harvey, Illinois, I moved to South Holland, Illinois at the age of 13, where I lived for 25 years. I graduated from Thornridge High School in Dolton, Illinois, in 1970. Later, I moved to Crown Point, Indiana in 1990, and then to Dyer, Indiana in 1994.As the owner and Certified Real Estate Instructor for Real Estate Training School, I offer Pre-License, Post-License, and Continuing Education Courses, available via Livestream or Online. You can learn more about our offerings at [Real Estate Training School](https://realestatetrainingschool.com).Beyond real estate, I have a passion for decorating cakes. I enjoy using my creative talents to design specialty cakes and cupcakes for various occasions. I was instrumental in lobbying for the Cottage Food Law, which was signed into law by Governor Scott on July 1, 2010. This law allows individuals with a passion for baking or cooking to operate home-based businesses and sell their products to the public.
