About Ashley Cates

As the Director of Marketing for the Coquille Tribe\'s Medford Hospitality Portfolio, I oversee the marketing strategy and execution for a diverse range of properties, including lodging, restaurants, entertainment, and events. I have more than 13 years of experience in the tourism, hospitality, and wine industry, and hold certifications as a sommelier and a gold service hospitality professional from the American Restaurant, Hotel and Lodging Association. My core competencies include strategic planning, marketing plan development and execution, brand development, media buying, budget management, digital marketing strategy and execution, SEO/SEM, graphic design, public relations and business development. I am also passionate about promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the hospitality industry, and I have completed the Dare to Lead certification from Southern Oregon University as well as graduated from the Oregon Tourism Leadership Academy via Travel Oregon and Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association to enhance my skills and leadership abilities. In addition to my role with the Coquille Tribe, I am also the Vice President of Rogue Valley Vintners, Board Member of SOREDI, Chair of the City of Medford Arts Commission, a foster Mom and owner of two small businesses.
