As a civilian employee working for the federal government, I oversee 12 HR and employee relations programs that impact 3K+ personnel. I monitor the health and morale of the workforce and advise executive leaders on any issues or program requirements. In this concurrent DEI role, I also oversee equal employment opportunity (EEO) compliance and community support programs.⌦ I am passionate about opening lines of communication and helping people see issues and ideas in new ways. I enjoy creating and facilitating engaging workshops in subjects such as extremism, biases and hate-motivated violence and foster open dialog about race, religion, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation. I work closely with key stakeholders to create customized programs that build community, create internal relations and make everyone feel valued and included.⌦ I am trained in emotional intelligence (EQ-i2.0 and EQ 360), safeTALK, crucial conversations and 4 Lenses. I am a skilled coach, victim advocate and certified mediator who excels at building bridges and helping bring disparate parties together. I have received, assessed and escalated grievances at all levels of varying degrees of complexity. In addition, I have assisted people in crisis and provided one-on-one or group counseling.⌦ I understand EEO laws and have developed programs and policies that convey EEO guidelines and create a barrier-free environment. I understand how to build employee relations and build a positive internal culture. I have conducted climate surveys and focus groups, internal process assessments and root cause analyses to identify issues and implement corrective measures that have made measurable impact. ⌦ Helping employees succeed is my goal. I love helping people achieve their goals and realize their dreams by helping them see a way forward through taking action. By breaking down their overwhelming goals into actionable steps, I have helped people turn dreams into reality and get “unstuck.”

ABOUT ANITA WILLIAMS
Over the past 6+ years, I have helped organizations in ensuring their employees feel valued, respected, and have comfort in knowing they have a neutral party to mediate disputes, or voice their concerns, while being treated fairly in a respectful neutral environment. You can absolutely have a difficult and often times controversial, environment without being invasive, but when you put all the key pieces together, you can create a work environment that productively works together, that is positive and engaged and leads to improved retention in the long run. As you will see in my work experience detailed below, my entire career – even when I was active duty Air Force – has been dedicated to people. I love helping people get unstuck and achieve success. Sometimes that is just being an ear willing to listen. Sometimes it is providing counsel and mentorship. Sometimes it is teaching classes that help people see things in a new way and open their minds to new opportunities and viewpoints. I am a certified trainer taught in many specialties such as Crucial Conversations, Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Myers Briggs (MBTI), 4 Lenses, ASIST, safeTALK, resilience and Active Relationships.
