ABOUT ANDREW BUTERA
As a NCAA student-athlete at Ohio Northern University, I am working towards my degree in Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Business along with a concentration in Marketing. I currently play men’s lacrosse for ONU, was awarded a letter in my freshman, sophomore, and junior year, and currently have a 3.25 GPA.Studies in both the Raabe College of Pharmacy and Dicke College of Business Administration are preparing me with expertise in the health sciences and business. I am excited about seeking internship opportunities to develop and learn skills in real-world settings in order to be ready to help physicians, hospitals, biotech firms, and pharmaceutical companies. In addition to course work and athletics, I am active in Healthcare Business Association (HBA) student organization where students gain a better understanding of the health care industry (with an emphasis on the pharmaceutical industry) and its impact on our society. Every spring, the club hosts Polar RX, a prescription drug-abuse awareness event, making a positive impact on our local community in Ada, Ohio and society beyond.I am eager to learn and engage in challenging and meaningful work in this growing industry. Opportunities of interest are wellness program development, business operations, pharmaceutical or medical device sales, budget and forecasting, healthcare informatics, quality improvement, performance measurement, patient liaisons, service coordination, and/or policies and procedures development.
