ABOUT ANDREA SEALE

Andrea Seale is the Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), leading a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to take on one of the world’s most pressing health challenges: cancer. Under Andrea\'s direction, CCS leads the charge in fostering innovation, amplifying patient voices and serves as a beacon of hope for Canadians affected by cancer.Personally impacted by the disease within her family, Andrea brings a deep sense of purpose to her role, championing meaningful change within the Canadian cancer care system and beyond. Working tirelessly to shape health policies, provide support for patients and drive crucial research initiatives, she and her team are relentless in their pursuit of a better future for all those impacted by cancer. With over 20 years of experience in non-profit leadership, Andrea is passionate about empowering communities to build a more compassionate, healthy and just society. Before joining CCS, she was at the helm of the David Suzuki Foundation and held senior roles at Ecojustice and The Banff Centre for the Arts. She also founded Blueprint Fundraising and Communications, a consultancy focused on strengthening non-profit organizations across Canada and the US.Andrea serves on the board of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and was recognized as the Outstanding Professional Fundraiser of 2022 by AFP Vancouver. She holds a Diploma in Public Relations from Mount Royal University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from McGill University.
