About Andrea Mason

I am a doer. A fixer. A change maker. A solutions creator. A writer. An advocate and an analyst. I help the helpers. For over 15 years my career has circled around CHANGE. I love the word change, I love change in action. I love the management of the chaos that comes with change. But above all else, I love the results of change. My work focuses on process improvement, policy refinement, organizational structure, cost-efficiency, business development, and the management of change. My roles are encapsulated by the word help. I help my clients achieve big goals. I help the communities they serve, and I help employers help their employees. I like to think I\'m the definition of a helper; someone who makes things easier for (someone) to do something by offering one\'s services or resources. I have led many clients to a successful end story including the Connecticut, Maryland, Washington, and Rhode Island State Departments of Education, the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools in Tennessee, and the DeKalb County and Atlanta Public School systems in Georgia - among many others. I am actively involved with the School Start Later National Campaign which advocates for a later high school start time due to recent medical studies indicating adolescents require more sleep. Traction of this movement has already begun in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and California.
