Achievement Highlights- Played a central role in the launch of Home Depot’s newest direct fulfilment centre from construction phase through to full operations by making contributions to project coordination, staffing and hiring, budgeting, expense management, procurement, communications, and all other aspects of a new facility launch- Grew the DFC team from a start-up of 5 associates and one leader to the current team of over 150 associates and 6 leaders- Led fulfillment centre operations through an unprecedented volume surge caused by the Covid-19 pandemic while prioritizing team safety, health, and well-being- Reduced operating expense by over $200k by implementing an innovative white wood pallet management program, reducing pallet usage by 90%Scope of Role- Lead and manage daily distribution operations in a ft3 direct fulfilment centre, fulfilling thousands of small parcel, LTL big and bulky, and appliance customer orders per week- Manage all aspects of daily distribution centre operations, including customer service, budgeting, associate leadership, health and safety, facility maintenance asset protection, inventory control, and special projects- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of hourly associates and area coordinators to drive productivity and service while creating a high-performance culture and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment
