ABOUT ALPTEKIN DEMIRAY
I am a Ph.D-credentialed Industrial Engineer and senior operations executive with over 23 years of experience directing manufacturing, production planning, and supply chain systems at a €150M global manufacturer. I currently run two parallel enterprise functions reporting directly to the executive committee: Production Planning & Information Systems, and Digital Transformation & Industry 4.0. For two decades, I’ve held deep functional authority across the full operations value chain—and then I built the digital layer on top of it.My foundation is purely operational. I oversee the full planning lifecycle, multi-site coordination across Türkiye, the USA, and South Korea, and direct an 80-person organization. As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, I have led our company-wide Lean program since 2008, making continuous improvement integral to our daily operations rather than just isolated projects. My supply chain strategies are also heavily grounded in my Ph.D. research on collaborative forecasting (CPFR) with automotive OEMs.What truly defines my career, however, is how I bridge the gap between the shop floor and advanced technology. I authored our 5-year enterprise digital roadmap and led Turkey\'s first SAP S/4HANA implementation in manufacturing. Beyond management, I personally designed and deployed the AI-driven demand forecasting and capacity optimization systems running in our production today. My philosophy is straightforward: I don\'t deploy digital tools onto operations I don\'t understand. I build them because I\'ve run those operations for twenty years.My practical execution is supported by academic rigor.
