ABOUT ADDIE JONES
Storyteller | Policy Advocate | Building a Brighter FutureI am a Sturgis Fellow at the University of Arkansas studying journalism and political science, currently working as an Email Intern at Middle Seat and Editorial Intern at The American Prospect. My work focuses on progressive campaign communications, policy analysis, investigative reporting, and translating complex policy issues into accessible narratives. In middle school, I founded Bright Beginnings Books, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has distributed over books across all 50 states, sparking my decade-long commitment to education equity. This passion fueled my past state and federal legislative internships and my role as President of Young Democrats at UofA, where I rebuilt the chapter and helped elect Arkansas\'s first Latina state legislator.Whether it is through reporting, digital campaigns, policy analysis, or grassroots organizing, I am committed to amplifying underrepresented voices and building progressive coalitions. My writing has reached readers through the Arkansas Traveler and Hill Magazine, and my advocacy work spans from rural Arkansas to federal policy halls in D.C.I am passionate about education policy, rural advocacy, and using strategic communications to drive systemic change.https://addieelizjones.com/
