ABOUT ZACHARY SUMNER
I have had some amazing opportunities as I started my professional career as an Air Force officer working directly with Nuclear weapons; training and equipping officers of all levels to be diligently proficient on the most impactful weapon systems in the world. Followed by a career change to the industrial packaging/manufacturing arena, where I have led an international team, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform their work through multi market segments across the globe. I graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2007 and served on active duty as a Nuclear and Missile Operator (13N). I had the opportunity to lead multiple levels of airmen – learning and appreciating the tools it takes to lead teams in unique and difficult environments. While still on active duty I was able to achieve my MBA from Colorado State University – ensuring I was pushing my education foundation for future opportunities. In 2014, I transitioned to the private sector and joined the manufacturing/packaging industry. With no industry experience or background, I have excelled to leading a very financially successful global team. My education and my background have helped me develop as a leader in a new environment, also my strong soft skills have helped me succeed to a new level. In 2022 I took a leap to join my brother in law in the mortgage industry - the ability to help people in my local area while understanding the overall mortgage process and better understand the importance of real estate as an investment is something that I am passionate about. And now I’m back in the automation and robotics world — working with a great group of people and a for an amazing company.In my personal life, I like to stay active and enjoy working out, watching sports (preferably football or soccer), and spending time with my family. I stay active in my local community giving back for all that has been given to me. I appreciate new challenges and pushing myself physically and mentally with each new adventure.
