As Risk Steward for the US MSS portfolio, I operate as part of the Second Line of Defense, providing independent oversight of operational risk with a strong focus on Transaction Processing Risk, as well as coverage of Resilience Risk and other related taxonomies.My responsibilities include governance and review of Internal Events (Near Misses and Actual Losses), Issues, L1 and L2 Controls, Risk Assessments, and Monitoring activities. I partner closely with First Line stakeholders to challenge exposures, improve control environments, and embed proactive risk awareness.I bring strong leadership skills through my ability to influence, guide, and support First Line teams in managing risk effectively. I lead conversations, shape risk decisions, and drive accountability across stakeholders to enhance the overall control environment.Within US MSS, I support risk oversight across a wide range of Global Markets products, including FX and Commodities, Credit and Rates Trading, Equities, and Derivatives. I’ve led deep-dive analyses of historical loss events, identifying patterns across years, uncovering root causes, and highlighting the most recurrent risks and control weaknesses in the business. I’ve also conducted Issue Trend Analysis to identify systemic themes and guide stakeholders toward targeted remediation.My focus remains on translating data and risk signals into meaningful insights that strengthen the business’s ability to anticipate and prevent risk. I bring depth, consistency, and a collaborative mindset to every initiative — ensuring resilient outcomes and lasting value.
