About Yifei Gao

I\'m currently pursuing an MFE at Columbia University, set to graduate in December 2024. Proficient in Python and familiar with C++ and R, I specialize in developing, backtesting, and optimizing quantitative strategies. I\'ve undertaken two quantitative research internships in China, one at an asset management company and the other at a hedge fund.I earned my BBA in Financial Engineering with First-Class Honors from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. My academic achievements include three consecutive years on the Dean\'s List and a Tier 1 Academic Performance Scholarship for ranking first (1/84) in my major during my junior year. My undergraduate studies have equipped me with a solid foundation in math, stats, programming, and finance. I\'ve honed my quantitative skills in areas such as mathematical modeling and statistical inference, and explored portfolio management theories and pricing techniques for various financial instruments.All these valuable experiences have prepared me to make meaningful contributions in the field of quantitative finance.
