ABOUT YESENIA CUELLO
Eastern North Carolina rural community leader. My foundation is built on the work ethic ingrained from my early days in the tobacco fields, leadership skills honed through NC FIELD\'s Poder Juvenil Campesino (PJC) program, and a deep sense of advocacy instilled by my mother and various mentors. My academic journey includes an education from Lenoir Community College and specialized training in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. Currently, as the Executive Director of NC FIELD, I take pride in our team\'s efficiency in deploying Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) resources to underserved populations in rural Eastern North Carolina. I am dedicated to the success of Sembrando Salud, our program aimed at connecting farmworkers to health care services and promoting equity during the days and times when my community can seek care. I am a proven grassroots activist and I am committed to creating a legacy of generational wealth within my community. Pa\'lante, always!
