In 2004, Surgere started at my kitchen table in North Canton, Ohio. Surgere initially served as packaging consultants for major companies such as Timken, Alcoa, and Whirlpool. However, upon seeing the massive failures taking place throughout supply chains, I began searching for software to support our existing clients’ needs. I couldn’t find a solution that worked.It was then that I took a leap of faith and re-created Surgere. We extended our supply chain expertise into software; directing our team to build highly specialized software that could provide absolute visibility throughout supply chains.the first critical step in ending the chaos. I was inspired in part by Twister, the Hollywood blockbuster starring Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt. In it, a crew of storm chasers are inspired to release a barrage of tiny data sensors into a tornado, collecting the data the team would need to better predict such storms. I saw how that concept – a multitude of data points coming together to draw a clear picture of an incredibly complex system – could be applied to the ‘tornado’ that is the automotive manufacturing supply chain. The small team I had at the time and I recognized the billions of dollars lost every year to “misplaced” parts, packaging, and finished vehicles, and knew there had to be a solution that rescued the automobile industry from their storm damage. Surgere is on a mission to save the supply chain. By using the Surgere Software Suite our clients can, for the first time, fully identify supply chain weaknesses. We built our foundation on delivering 99% accuracy, valuable insights, proven cost reduction and increased productivity. Today, our clients are moving far beyond identity, location, and insight into ML/AI directed corrective action.More than 13 million returnable containers and racks, moving between more than client locations, are made visible 24/7, 365 days a year with Surgere\'s technology.
