In my role as the Regional Information Security Officer (RISO) for India and Sri Lanka, I was responsible for managing security projects and IT infrastructure, reporting directly to the Head-IT and Global ISO. I conducted ISMS risk-based internal audits, identifying and monitoring gaps in remediation efforts.I was instrumental in developing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring uninterrupted access to critical systems and data during potential outages. I coordinated changes to information security policies, procedures, and standards, and facilitated business impact analysis and risk analysis.I trained staff on new security systems, creating an ISMS compliant work environment. I ensured the organization’s compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and legal requirements.I managed relationships with external security vendors, including MSSPs and cybersecurity consulting firms, overseeing service-level agreements (SLAs), and ensuring vendors met our requirements.I collaborated with teams to design and implement effective security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, access controls, and identity management systems.Staying updated on technology trends, I evaluated the potential impact on the organization and recommended the adoption of relevant technologies to improve patient care, operational efficiency, and IT security.\"This role required a strong understanding of information security, risk management, and the ability to stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.
