I created, from scratch, the company’s dedicated IT program and internal department now supporting four manufacturing sites spread across the U.S. In addition to owning and directing this $4M program, I built the now nine-person team from the ground up and have reduced annual operating costs by internalizing previously outsourced IT consulting services, which has also helped us elevate the level of service to staff and users. In addition to financial purchasing, I drive all IT strategy to support this commercial building manufacturer who has realized more than 15%+ year-over-year growth over the past eight years. In doing this, I source, hire, train, and lead a cross-functional and semi-remote team of technology professionals supporting more than 500 active users through help desk support, systems administration, and ERP management. By planning and managing large scale, enterprise software, hardware, and system upgrades and projects, I have identified areas of opportunity to address current and future business needs, while obtaining competitive bids and vendor pricing for new projects and initiatives to control project costs. A highlight of my role thus far has been my spearheading the company’s challenging upgrade of the enterprise’s Epicor 9 System where I leveraged subject matter expertise in the ERP product to successfully complete version 10 transition in only five months. We also achieved a reduced project cost that came in at 40% below the allocated budget.
