ABOUT VALERIE FRIAR
I am pursuing a B.A at Boston University in the History of Art and Architecture with minors in Economics and French. My experience spans both U.S. and international galleries, including Vose Galleries in Boston and Galerie Beauté du Matin Calme in Paris, where I’ve supported sales teams, curated exhibitions, digitized archives, and developed marketing materials in fast-paced, client-facing settings. From managing digital campaigns and designing promotional materials in Adobe Creative Suite to liaising directly with artists, collectors, and directors, I bring a detail-oriented, organized, and multilingual approach to every project. I’ve also served as a bidding agent, handled confidential records, coordinated shipping logistics, and contributed original research on contemporary artists through my honors thesis Multiculturalism and Self-Representation: Contemporary Artists of Turkish Descent in Germany. I’m passionate about contemporary art, cross-cultural communication, and the operations that keep galleries running seamlessly. I’m eager to contribute to institutions that prioritize curatorial excellence, artist advocacy, and thoughtful innovation in the arts.
