TurnUp Activism is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening our democracy through increasing youth civic engagement. This program’s holistic approach is for educating, connecting, and empowering young people to become civically responsible and engaged activists. As part of this internship, I participate in civic actions by organizing voter registration and turnout initiatives in my community, conducting targeted outreach programs, and engaging in advocacy and activism. Collaborate with fellow interns to identify and pursue volunteer opportunities, attend the TurnUp Speaker Series, and conduct research and writing on civic and activism-related topics. All interns work collaboratively to advocate for issues important to young people, increase youth turnout across the United States and combat voter suppression.
