ABOUT TOM-COLIN HORN
I’m a Principal Game Designer in a leadership position with a passion for crafting engaging experiences that delight players. In my almost 14 years in the free-to-play games industry I worked on several match-3 games as well as the top grossing hidden object game ‘June’s Journey’. Throughout my career, I have worked both in new game development and live game operations, collaborating effectively in teams of all sizes. This has allowed me to assume various roles and responsibilities across multiple areas of Game Design, with my core competencies centering around feature design and match-3 level design. Furthermore, I have several years of experience in leadership positions and successfully established best practices and processes in several teams I worked in.I have an eye for details and love well crafted documentation, but at the same time I believe in fast iteration and validation cycles and game development in service of the player. In my work I use my strong communication skills to cooperate effectively with a wide range of departments. I love to foster collaborative, nurturing team environments that encourage continuous improvement and innovation by welcoming feedback and diverse perspectives, but also by empowering people to take ownership and thus enable fast decision making.Feel free to reach out and connect if you have questions or I sparked your curiosity.
