ABOUT T. J. VAN GUNTEN
I build customer loyalty and organic growth for in-house brands. On the side, I create content that connects myself & golf brands with real audiences.I’m currently the Loyalty Manager at Chubbies Shorts, where I own the strategy and execution of our loyalty program supporting 1M+ members and accounts for almost 60% of our annual revenue. I led the full relaunch of the program in July 2024, driving immediate year-over-year growth in member sign-ups and engagement. In addition to loyalty, I manage end-to-end SEO strategy for Chubbies eCommerce platform. This includes keyword research and competitive analysis, on-page optimization, link-building strategies, KPI definitions, and ongoing performance reporting. I partner closely with copywriters, product, and merchandising teams to ensure product naming, site structure, and web merchandising align with market demand, conversion goals, and long-term profitability. My work sits at the intersection of retention, lifecycle marketing, SEO, and customer experience. I’m hands-on with platforms like Yotpo, Klaviyo, SEMRush and Looker, using data to inform roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and drive measurable business impact.Outside of work, I’m also a content creator and podcast co-host with FairWagers Golf and the Must Play Podcast. I make golf content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube with many videos that have crossed 1M+ views, grown to 13K+ followers, and led to collaborations with brands like Chubbies, Sunday Golf, and Devereux.I\'m always open to connecting with people working in loyalty & SEO to further my professional career, as well as creator partnerships, especially where community and culture matter.
