Tim O’Mara is the Founder and Executive Director of Bearings Bike Works, A for impact youth skills development organization located in one of Georgia’s toughest zip codes. Tim is a relentless believer in the possibilities of youth and fighting against the negative influences and the culture of consequences they have on kids in Atlanta. He founded the organization in 2010 with a mission to help at-risk youth discover their potential to prevent future crises. For the past 10 years, his mission has been to illuminate pathways to possibilities. The Bearings Bike Shop aims to expose every child’s God-given gifts through experiences that provoke discovery and curiosity while developing perseverance and confidence. Tim brings a sincere level of passion and integrity for developing leaders within the community to continue the mission.The Bearings Bike Works provides educational and bicycle repair in their training center to some of the most at risk kids in the city. It’s housed along the Atlanta Beltline’s westside trail and is currently renovating their property along with the new foot training center, which serves as the base of operations. Since Tim believes collaboration is an essential facet to positive life-changes, he has partnered with various schools, businesses and other for impact organizations to provide on-campus solutions in vocational training. As a credit to his successful leadership at the Bearings Bike Works, Tim has received numerous awards.Tim has been married to his wife Becky for 16 years, and they are the proud parents of two kids.
