I have over 15 years of professional IT experience, and the bulk of my experience is focused on Linux and Oracle, integrating with both commercial and open source products. I\'ve been an Oracle DBA, Linux Administrator, and run Systems Operations shops, managing engineers and desktop admins. During that time, I have worked for a few startups and startup-type organizations, and have been exposed and managed a wide variety of applications and equipment. This spans standard IT staples like VMWare, Active Directory, desktop apps, Red Hat virtualization, and F5 load balancers, to HAProxy, HBase, Hadoop, Apache, Tomcat, publishing, wireless, and healthcare specific applications. I have worked closely with EMC, Oracle, VMWare, HP, Cisco, and Dell on hardware installations, engineering, evaluations, and management. I have installed, configured, and managed storage arrays from HP, EMC, and SolidFire. I have engineering and setup new open source and commercial database servers, load balancers, monitoring solutions, and API infrastructures. I have worked closely with, as well as managed, developers, working to meet business needs, and providing additional tools and solution to make their jobs easier. I understand change management, ITIL, Agile development, and I am a good communicator up and down the leadership rungs. I am a fast learner, a believer in automation, I want to do the right thing the first time, and do it well.
