ABOUT THERESE BJØRSTAD KARLSEN

Therese has more than 30 years experience in different leadership roles in hospitality, retail and realestate industry. Experience in development of organization, brands, products and sales. Specially interested in situations where development is needed. Documented results from sales, customer and co-workers satisfaction in an IKEA Stores with a market share of 43% in the primary market area. Introduced the IKEA store in a new market, securing retail foundation, brand and concept integration. Contributed to developing and implementing a technological strategy to increase warehouse productivity and reduce costs. Therese has over the last 8 years established herself as an experience member of the board of different companies and NGO. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Hawaii in 1993 and was in 2007 awarded the “Arena Kvinne” award from Stjørdal Chamber of Commerce. The award is given to a female that through her person and work contributes to development and engagement in business, work life and society. In addition the individual is seen as a spokeswoman for other females to give courage to take on challenges.
