About Jake Hardy
Here\'s a synopsis of my life over the last 5 years:1. Studied computer science at Canisius University while playing D1 lacrosse. Throughout college, I worked internships at a VC/PE firm and a tech start-up. I graduated in 2021, closing the chapter in Buffalo and starting a new chapter in a city where I knew no one… betting on myself.2. Started working at Oracle in Seattle (July 2021). I was a backend software engineer focused on the FAaaS project running on top of OCI. I had made my 5th-grade dream of being a software engineer a reality. Within 1 year at the company, I was promoted to software engineer 2, taking on more responsibility & workload.3. Despite having a strong work ethic fine-tuned by college athletics, I noticed how little leverage I had in my job. Or any corporate job for that matter. The path in front of me wasn’t going to lead me to my long-term goals. So, outside of work I sunk my teeth into any real estate, business, or investing education I could get my hands on. I ended up buying my first investment property 12 months after starting with Oracle.4. Seeing the power of buying assets and controlling my income, I was hooked. I was mentally ready to go full-time into entrepreneurship, but instead of quitting my 9-5 right away, I made a financial plan. While continuing to educate myself and network with others, I was able to save 18 months of living expenses.5. In Oct 2023, I leaped full-time into my real estate investing business. once again, betting on myself. In Aug 2024 I bought an F45 Training franchise with my wife. And the rest is continuously unfolding.As I go through life, I\'m constantly reminded that:Success is the outcome of increasing your leverage with newly learned skills while in uncomfortable situations.My advice?1. Bet on yourself2. Gain skills3. Level up through imperfect actionAnd along the way, know that the Lord works all things together for the good of those who love Him- Romans 8:28Dream Big.
