WORK HISTORY
Nih Seed Fund @The National Institutes of Health
Washington, DC, US
NIH\'s SEED Fund: Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs. NIH small business programs are the largest source of early-stage capital in the U.S. Investing more than $32 billion a year to support research, development, and commercialization of deep technologies that enhance life, and reduce illness and disability. NIH funded research has led to breakthroughs and new treatments, helping people live longer, healthier lives, and building the research foundation that drives discovery. As a member of the NIH SBIR/STTR panel, I review and critique the scientific and commercial merit of project proposals for the NIH SBIR/STTR program. SBIR and STTR grant funding opportunities offer small business entrepreneurs a chance to obtain non-dilutive funding for early-stage research and development. My evaluations supply critical information used to determine funding decisions.
