Teaching graduate-levels courses in medicinal plant research, medicinal chemistry and drug discovery and development Provide students with basic training to acquire good working knowledge of drug discovery process, medicinal chemistry, natural product chemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences. Prepare students to acquire basic skills in biogenesis, secondary metabolites, chromatography, spectroscopy, metabolomics and scientific data analysis Prepare students to achieve proficiency in development and execution of assay protocols, following standard operating procedures and adhering to research ethics. Provide students with basic training to acquire good working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative drug analysis. Prepare students for careers in drug discovery/development and related fields. Prepare students to achieve proficiency in the applications of research data for informed decision making. Deliver lectures via a hybrid system of online and face-to-face as well as practical courses where applicable or only via online as agreed upon by the PAULESI management and the students Use the online learning tool provided by the Institute to upload study materials on the online learning system Develop examinations and writing assignments to monitor students’ progress and understanding of the material Engage in manuscript writing and publication in peer reviewed journals as well as grant writing for research funding Supervise students research projects with a focus on drug discovery from natural sources while implementing efficient data analytic tools, and secure handling and confidentiality of sensitive data, adhering to industry regulations and ensuring data integrity. Chaired the team that developed and subsequently reviewed the curriculum for the MSc. medicinal plants research and drug development program
