ABOUT SUGANDH AGRAWAL

While pursuing a Master\'s in Interaction Design at California College of the Arts, I collaborated as a Social Impact Partner with CNN International as a part of our course \'Social Lab\'. Using user research, we addressed the gaps within today\'s media landscape, understanding the next-generation segment\'s news consumption patterns and behavioral models. At Ola, I led the design innovation of the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and companion app for their electric scooters, developing features such as the Access Control System (Geo-fencing), Themes, and Tamper Detection. My work enhanced usability and safety for over 2 million users nationwide, earning thousands of positive reviews and driving user engagement.Before working at Ola, I worked at product start-ups to gain 3+ years of experience in Digital Product Design. As a part of AppsForBharat\'s founding team, I designed with an outcome-driven approach the zero-to-one of its marquee app which grew to 400k DAU and 1.5M MAU in a year, while maintaining a retention number of 55% on an average. I believe in ideation, innovation, and implementation with equal responsibility for the creation of a value-sensitive & human-centered design. I worked in the field of Architecture for a year after completing my five-year degree. I soon became more inclined towards the fascinating field of User Experience (UX) Design. I realized, through UX, I’d be able to do what I loved about architecture - designing experiences for people - in a whole new way.Working in Architecture, I learned to look at the bigger picture around the creations we design, by learning how design can affect the world in social, cultural, and economic ranges. Working in UX, looking at how these effects translate from large scale to small scale, I learned how it eventually affects the way of life of the user.
