Responsible for a range of permitting and environmental compliance tasks across Georgia and Florida. Below are my key responsibilities:Florida and Georgia Permitting: Manage and assist with permit renewals and modifications, including SMLUP, ACOE, IWW (NPDES), Water Use permitting, ERP, CUP, and Air. Oversee SPCC and compliance. Assist the Environmental Manager with new site permitting as needed.Gopher Tortoises/Listed Species in GA: Oversee Gopher Tortoise surveys and relocations to ensure timely relocation prior to mining activities. Coordinate research with University of Georgia. Secure future recipient sites and address other listed species as applicable.Responsible Care 14001 (American Chemistry Council) Program Co-Lead – Lead efforts to ensure our environmental program aligns with RC 14001 standards. Responsibilities include maintaining the Aspects & Impacts Register, tracking Compliance Obligations, setting and monitoring environmental goals and objectives, and facilitating the Management Review process. I also focus on effectively communicating these goals across the organization to promote engagement, transparency, and continuous improvement. Incident Review Facilitator: Serve as Root Cause Analysis Facilitator for environmental incidents in both FL and GA.1st, 2nd, and 3rd Party Audit facilitation: Maintain and update the audit schedule. Ensure audits are completed and logged into Environmental Management System (EMS).Capital Projects: Lead point of contact for planning environmental permits associated with capital projects in Florida and Georgia. Prepare and manage multiple Microsoft Project schedules for permit application preparation, submittal, agency consultation/coordination to ensure permits are issued before mining activities commence.Training Responsibilities: Conduct employee training sessions including MSHA refresher, Dam Training, BMP, and other environmental topics.
