About Steven Hacker
I’m a passionate movie lover! I can spend hours talking about films, especially “Bladerunner.” My love of films started at a very early age when I saw “Star Wars” in 1977. As a child I directed scenes with my Star Wars action-figures. In high school and in College, I directed several short films, and upon graduating from TCU, I started my own production company in Dallas, Texas producing and directing Industrials. After winning the Aurora Award for Writing and Directing the video “Diversity in the Workforce” commissioned by State Fair Foods, Inc. I produced the short film “Midsummer.” “Midsummer” went on to win the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, Crested Butte Reel Fest, Deep Ellum Film Festival, Sea to Sky Film Festival, and the Ft. Worth Film Festival. Because of the success of “Midsummer” my desire to make movies, narrative content lead me to Hollywood in And for the past 14 years I’ve work in all facets of Feature Film and Television Production. From graduating from the DGA Assistant Director Training Program to producing the Feature Film “Yesterday was a Lie.”
