ABOUT STEPHEN BURGERMEISTER

Process improvements can be achieved on a project by project basis and some of these benefits disappear over time. How do you not only ‘lock in’ these benefits but build on them and encourage regular, incremental improvements that through time add up to a material lasting change? To build a continuous improvement mindset starts with the team. Raising problems and improvement ideas should be encouraged and leadership needs to provide the team with dedicated time to engage and solve problems. Problem solving is key to achieving a continuous improvement culture. I work with teams to connect strategies, goals and objectives with the front line; discover better ways of working; deliver value efficiently to the customer and enable leaders to lead and have teams contribute to their fullest potential. I am successful when the teams embrace a system that focuses on people that drives new behaviours and achieves a step change in operational effectiveness and efficiency.
