ABOUT STEVEN BROUWERS

I lead the internal audit & compliance functions to collectively be trusted partners to the QH business in delivering independent, objective assurance and insightful advisory services as well as compliance services that enhance the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes, ensuring the integrity, sustainability, and growth of the organization. Steve was a Senior Manager within the firm’s Internal Audit Services practice and has more than eleven years of experience in providing risk-based internal audit and other advisory services to global clients representing a wide range of industries. Since joining PwC, he has performed a number of international SOX readiness and compliance engagements for both public and privately held companies in the consumer retail and industrial products industries, leveraging guidance as set forth in AS.5, and addressing both financial and operational risk areas. Steve has also managed and performed operational controls audits, financial controls reviews, FCPA compliance reviews, balance sheet reviews, vendor due diligence reviews, and COSO framework mapping exercises. Steve often coordinates with external auditors, subject matter experts, and internal audit resources, both domestically and abroad, and provides on-going communications to client management. Steve has traveled to Europe and South America numerous times and remotely worked with local firm resources on behalf of management to supervise the aforementioned projects. Prior to joining PwC, Steve was an intern within Reliance Standard Life’s internal audit department.
