At The Catena Foundation we strive to \"heal the land, heal the people\". We partner with leaders and organizations as well as offer direct investment to protect the environment, restoration of land and water to its natural state, support Tribal efforts to restore sacred sites and work with youth on developing life long wellness habits through activities in the outdoors. When I started in August of 2022 as a consultant, the Foundation Director had begun the process of transitioning from overall leadership back to a program role, doing the direct work of the Foundation in support of leaders and networks. As part of this transition I became the COO to ensure no interruption of services. Now as the Interim Executive Director I have full accountability for the work of the Catena Foundation. May 2019 I was hired to invest my experience and energy into NICA as a youth development organization and to bring structure and direction to a rapidly growing movement. While I have stepped down from my role as President, I leave with a great fondness for the mission, the students, coaches and volunteers, the work we all undertook and most important of all: for getting our youth of today outside and active!
