Update December 2025: Additional external construction works currently continue comprising of a large transformer compound and SuDS. This following on from the most recent phase of 3 further data halls being completed in July. Update December 2024: Phase 1 comprising of 5 data halls now completed - in just 12 months! Great results considering this building has been in constant occupation by the Client\'s customers throughout the construction phase. Works already underway on Phase 2 comprising of 3 more data halls - across 2 floors of this building, continuing the Client’s aggressive construction programme. Enjoying leading on H&S through this amazing delivery team.Update August 2024: Working through the production teams spikey peak with a headcount c.250 at CWL 11. Engaged with the organisational change - driven by the HSQ Director - to build an agile and collaborative CWL1 Campus Data Centre HSE service. Exciting times!Providing professional support for this global leader in energy, digital and industrial transformation (Equans Data Centres, a Bouygues Group Company), during the three successive mission critical construction projects scoped to increase the capacity of Europe’s largest data centre campus at Cardiff (CWL1). CWL 11- this is a £200M construction project producing a phased formation of multiple data halls that will support several MW of IT load with dedicated plant, built to the bespoke requirements of each client e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, a large American bank and several systems integrators.As the appointed Health and Safety Lead at Vantage CWL11, my deliverables assure the Client that this tier one Principal Contractor & designer is compliant with CDM, committed to the active monitoring of construction activities, and ensuring contractors manage high risk activities effectively. Involved within the Bouygues Group H&S team facilitating the delivery of continuous improvements at project level aligned with Equans corporate H&S strategy.
