ABOUT STEVE KARP

Steve Karp has 30+ years of experience across the Financial Technology, Payments, and Software industries, ranging from strategic consulting to operating roles in start-up, growth-stage PE-backed, and Fortune 500 companies. In his current role as Unanet\'s Chief Innovation Officer, Steve leads the Product Managment, User Experience, and Strategic Partnership teams in their ideation, design, and development of a broad portfolio of solutions for Unanet customers.Prior to Unanet, Steve was Chief Product Officer at OSG, where he led teams across Product Management and Digital Payments Solution groups. Previously, Steve was GM of Payments at Upserve, a SaaS platform with a full suite of POS, payment, and analytics solutions for SMB and Mid-Market restaurants. Upserve, which was a Vista Equity portfolio company, was acquired by Lightspeed in December 2020. Prior to his role at Upserve, Steve lead the North American Relationship Management team at Cardtronics (since acquired by NCR), the largest global provider of ATM outsourcing and managed services for retailers and financial institutions. In this role, Steve was responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of enterprise retail clients, including Target, Walgreens, CVS, EuroGarage, and Circle K. Additional leadership roles include- Advisor to Fulcrum Equity Partners and operating executive at Fattmerchant, an SMB-focused SaaS payments platform- President, Small Business at Worldpay, where he had P&L responsibility for the U.S. division\'s largest segment and led all direct/indirect sales teams, as well as Sales Operations and Pricing. During his leadership tenure at Worldpay, the company was successfully taken public by its private equity owners (Bain Capital and Advent International)- Enterprise Payments Strategy Group at SunTrust, where he partnered with leadership across customer, product, and channel segments to develop and execute payment-related strategies. His areas of focus included debit/prepaid cards, ATM channel, online alternative payments, and underbanked consumer strategies- Co-Founder and CFO/COO of Allpoint, the largest surcharge-free ATM network in the US. He led the network’s operations, FP & A, and strategic planning functions and was on the leadership team responsible for raising capital and guiding Allpoint from start-up through its successful sale to CardtronicsIn addition, Steve has held management consulting and investment banking positions at Edgar Dunn, First Annapolis, Friedman, Billings, Ramsey and ICF Consulting.
