Strategic leader and service director, leading place-shaping and planning in the amazing Derbyshire Dales. A member of the Leadership Team at Derbyshire Dales Council, I head strategic projects - like our £15m town centre regen project, Ashbourne Reborn. In economic regeneration, I work with business leaders and public sector partners to help develop the Derbyshire Dales into a thriving local economy and knock low wages on the head. I am also responsible for environmental health in this beautiful district, and I lead our small-but-mighty licensing team. I have a PhD from the University of Sheffield, and am a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership. Outside work, I am a coach with the British Sub-Aqua Club - I train scuba diving instructors on a volunteer basis and jump into water myself whenever I can.
