ABOUT STEPHEN SELWOOD

I am a specialist in infrastructure vision, strategy and public policy. I am skilled at leading strategy, developing organisational vision and goals, and translating these into action across a diverse range of businesses and organisational entities. As a business, company and project leader I build cohesive teams to drive high performance organisational outcomes. I inspire ownership and commitment from senior executives, employees, contractors and consultants. As a member of the Board I am an expert at organisational strategy, communications, brand positioning, public policy and managing risk. I have a proven record of leading and influencing policy at the highest level from Ministers in Government to industry leaders. This includes galvanising support from disparate public and private sector parties into a common vision centred on national benefit. I am a thought leader and change agent. I bring deep understanding of spatial planning, integrated urban development and infrastructure systems from transport to energy, water, telecommunications, information technology, housing and social infrastructure With extensive networks and trusted relationships across government, business, and the public and private sectors I am highly experienced in stakeholder engagement, media, communications, partnerships, and relationship development. I am a skilled orator with strong media, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to break down complex concepts into the simple messages needed to build public understanding, buyin and support.
