The Patadesign School is an exceptional school of exceptions, working tirelessly to bring out the pataphysical dimension of design, and in this way offering a critical response to the role of design in the age of the artificial. As such, the School had to design itself into existence, and continues to unravel and re-design itself in an appropriate, as-needed, manner- Co-directing an international pop-up design school for exceptional professionals, students, designers and non-designers - Challenging participant’s practices with new imaginary tools and approaches - Designing all aspects of the School together with my two co-founders

ABOUT SØREN ROSENBAK
I’m a design leader that obsesses over how design is able to massage the status quo and quite literally show how *things* could be different. I take ‘things’ to mean specific ‘designed things’, like an alarm clock or a stethoscope, but also ‘things’ as ‘the sum of all these things’, meaning the thick layers of non-stop designed experiences and interactions which we all find ourselves surrounded by, whether we like it or not.As a designer, I bring my core skills of deep curiosity, vision, empathy and criticality to every project. With a focus on outcomes rather than outputs, I naturally gravitate towards solving meaningful and complex problems, where I can create real value. Within such problem spaces, I’m an expert in bringing stakeholders together to challenge assumptions and discover new desirable, viable and feasible paths forward. To me, magic happens at the intersection of imagination and participation, when design anticipates and gives shape to futures *with*, rather than *for*, people. In my experience, this is how innovation roots itself in reality, and actual change happens.
