About Srinath V
I am a hardcore robotics (Underwater, Surface & Aerial) enthusiast working on advanced autonomous Underwater robotic systems, with a core focus on underwater autonomy, navigation, and system-level integration. My work emphasizes building reliable, field-deployable autonomy rather than isolated research prototypes.I currently develop homing and docking capabilities for autonomous underwater vehicles, designing the complete autonomy pipeline spanning sensing, control, and real-time system coordination. This includes algorithm development, multi-sensor integration, and ROS-based communication architectures that allow heterogeneous underwater sensors—each with distinct data characteristics—to operate as a unified, reliable system under uncertainty.My technical strengths lie in autonomy and control for constrained, non-ideal real open-sea environments. I work extensively with sensor fusion, feedback control (including PID and nonlinear control strategies), and tightly coupled perception–control loops, translating theory into stable implementations that hold up under real-world conditions. Alongside this, I am involved in sonar-based perception research, exploring non-optical sensing modalities where conventional vision systems fail.I take a systems-engineering approach to robotics. Beyond software, I routinely engage with electronics integration, embedded communication, and mechanical constraints to ensure that autonomy algorithms remain grounded in hardware reality. This cross-domain perspective allows me to anticipate failure modes early and design architectures that scale from experimentation to deployment.Outside formal research, I actively build robotic systems end to end—mechanical CAD design, 3D printing, electronics assembly, low-level programming, and full software integration. This hands-on experience has shaped my ability to reason across abstraction layers, from physical dynamics and signal behavior down to low-level execution.In parallel, I have strong full-stack development and cloud infrastructure experience, enabling me to design robust tooling, interfaces, and data pipelines that support experimentation, visualization, and operational workflows.I am motivated by contributing to high-impact robotics programs where autonomy, reliability, and systems rigor are non-negotiable. I am particularly interested in roles within defense, aerospace, and advanced research organizations that demand deep technical ownership, multidisciplinary thinking, and real-world operational relevance.
