Developed a 20-week Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program in consideration of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) for girls in southwest Detroit with Mercy Education Project to combat chronic absenteeism- Presented ongoing human-centered design process in Social Design Expo at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign to gather insight and advocate for SEL.

ABOUT SOOVIN LEE
I’m Soovin Lee, a psychology major with a chemistry and integrative biology minor on the pre-med track at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.Growing up, I saw how inaccessible and inequitable behavioral health care can be for youth from marginalized communities. Those experiences shaped my desire to understand not just individual mental health outcomes, but the systemic causes.
