Beacon Support for Schools is a company with a simple mission: to support schools, teachers and families when behaviour gets in the way of success. Whether that\'s the behaviour of individual students or whole classes, we\'re ready to help.We believe the best way of doing that is through a mixture of face-to-face support *and* online learning materials. That way we can put high-quality training and behaviour advice in the hands of many teachers as possible - and have a bigger impact. My role (as co-founder) is to provide on-site support to schools in the Midlands, UK. This could be observations and advice, whole school training, support with strategy, behaviour audits and more.I also produce high-quality online resources - for teachers and parents - about helping children manage their behaviour and emotions.

ABOUT SIMON CURRIGAN

Ask me how I can help your school, teachers and families be more successful with behaviour…Because – from time to time – behaviour (and in particular, managing emotions) is a barrier to success that stops many children in their tracks. And there’s no doubt that behaviour issues, and social and emotional needs - including attachment and mental health difficulties - are on the rise. For many of those children, the future can be bleak. The exclusion / young offending / prison pathway is well trodden. And at times, those problems can look and feel unsurmountable. But it doesn’t always have to be that way. With the right help, I believe maybe – just maybe- many of these kids can overcome those barriers and get their lives back on track. This belief comes from my time teaching permanently excluded children (I did this for the best part of a decade). It was a role I fell into by accident. As a child, I never said, “I want to work at a school where there’s an on-going risk of being physically attacked each day!”(As a 10 year-old, the plan was either astronaut or games programmer!)But here’s what that time teaching in pupil referral units taught me…The solution is simple, evidence-based strategies done well. That isn’t always easy or fast – but nothing worthwhile ever is.But it is possible. And with the right support, you can make a difference to the children with behaviour difficulties in your school too. Help them change their lives for the better. So I’m here to help. If you want to talk about behaviour in your school, feel free to send me a message. Let’s work together to help you - and the children in your school - achieve the success you deserve!#behaviour #beahvior #teaching #schools
