ABOUT SHIVANI U.

I’m a second-year MPH candidate at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, studying Global Health. My interest in public health is grounded in early community outreach with the American India Foundation and further shaped by clinical exposure as a physical therapy volunteer, where I developed a strong understanding of patient-centered care. At Rollins, I’ve expanded this work through leadership and academic roles, including serving as a student ambassador supporting professional development initiatives and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant contributing to instruction and student mentorship. Currently, I’m an intern with Positive Impact Health Center, where I support HIV care delivery by strengthening data systems, identifying gaps in mental health services, and improving care coordination across clinical teams. I’m interested in pursuing a career in public health data consulting, with a focus on advancing mental health research, social and behavioral health promotion, and digital mental health innovation.My efforts aim to dismantle mental health stigma and foster systemic improvements in care that prioritize social justice and inclusivity across global health systems.
