Supervising the asset management, operation, maintenance, testing and commissioning of Auckland Metro Traction assets such as: OLE (Overhead Line Equipment), trackside switches, earthing & bonding, 25kV HV Substations, Static Frequency Converters (SFC) Switchgears, LVAC auxiliary supplies, batteries, chargers, protection relays, RTU and SCADA.Key Accountabilities:• Identify and correct incoherence on drawings or procedures • Review basic design drawing of Earth and Bonding. • In order to advise on maintenance and renewal strategies, collect data and conditioning information and develop appropriate databases. • Monitor databases and forecast trends.• Carry out audits of traction and electrical assets in a timely manner and they comply with all KiwiRail and industry standards and ensure required reporting is completed. • Assist with Inspection and/or commissioning of specialist electrical installations as required and ensuring all identified deficiencies are remedied. • Ensure that traction controlled documentation and instructions are relevant and up to date in the field through audit process • Ensure quarterly reports from traction maintenance and electrical contractors are accurate and on time • Monitor, audit and report compliance of code maintenance for traction maintenance and electrical contractors • Liaise with other KiwiRail parties and Contractors to ensure that they are aware of the scope, change and risks whilst working around the Traction asset to ensure code maintenance is compliant. • Ensure the contractor is provided with design or technical information to allow them to deliver, plan and forecast works. • Review as-build information and provide recommendations for planned or emergency works. • Ensure that any changes to the asset are recorded and documented in a timely manner and Traction Engineering advised as required. • Take an active part of planning the Maintenance • Provide support for general regional electrical works.
