About Shelley Overholt-Thiesen

I manage the Affordability and Risk Stratification teams, within Aledade\'s Performance/Provider Networks department. I work across departments to facilitate continuous improvements in our healthcare information technology platform. This work is in service to the nationwide independent primary care physicians who partner with Aledade to participate in Value-Based Care contracts. We have demonstrated impressive shared savings success in Medicare (MSSP, Medicare Advantage, REACH), Medicaid and Commercial VBC contracts with multiple national payers. Learn more at I joined Aledade back when it was still a start-up: first as a full-time medical director, coaching Family Physicians and Internists; next managing the business leaders of over half of our state-based markets. Those teams achieved year-over-year increasing savings rates, especially in MSSP contracts.Before moving into the industry of healthcare management and technology, I spent 20 years as a practicing Family Physician. I was first a co-owner of a successful primary care clinic in central Kansas, and later a partner in a larger hospital-affiliated physician group in Northern Minnesota. I\'ve served on the board of two hospitals, as chief of staff one year, and department chief for over ten years.
