Engineering Manager @Dwolla

In the past few years I have led several different teams at Dwolla, including a marketing engineering team, a team focused on integrating new financial institutions and technology, and a growth team. Currently I lead a team that owns and maintains the Dwolla customer Dashboard platform, which is key to Dwolla\'s portal strategy. We work to reduce friction, facilitate self-service, delight customers, and invest in a great internal developer experience. Additionally we own several important platform features such as operational notifications and customer statements. We are responsible for designing and building every aspect of these implementations across a full stack of user interfaces, API endpoints, and microservices. We work daily with cross-functional areas of the company as well as external stakeholders to make sure we\'re building the the right thing. We ship daily and focus on continuous improvement so that we can build maintainable, reliable, and secure software. We treat software as a craft. Current tools we use include Javascript, React, Redux, Node, Scala, C#, Docker, AWS, ECS, Consul, and RabbitMQ.
