Notable responsibilities:* Master of the finances for two departments totaling $12M in expenses.* Expert on funding sources, their restrictions and spending timeline for 30 sources/$8M in revenue - government grants, private funding and endowments.*Analyze variances from the budget & forecasts. Create presentation material for Cabinet, Finance Committee and Board Members to explain, in a way they understand, the drivers of these variances.*Problem solve/find efficiencies/identify opportunities, independently, for over 6o help desk tickets and ad hoc departmental requests a year. Entails research, collaboration and reporting tailored to stakeholders with various levels of subject matter understanding.*Track and analyze payroll for over 600 employees. Vacancies, promotions, hiring times, and correct coding to projects, funds & tasks.* Create ad hoc projections and analysis accurately and quickly for union negotiations.* Subject matter expert for our financial software, Workday Adaptive Planning.* Lead in implementation, documentation and training for our CRM connector and OfficeConnect (links the software to Excel).* Train new employees on our financial software, role & responsibilities and procedures.* Owner of the help desk tickets submitted from employees across the entire institution.
