ABOUT SHANNON COFFIN
I’m a nonprofit leader with 15 years of experience building systems that nourish people and dignity. As Vice President of Community Partnerships at Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine, I lead initiatives that center equity, trust, and local voice—ensuring that hunger relief in Maine is community-powered, not charity-led.I’ve helped shape school food programs, co-designed statewide advisory councils, and launched one of the nation\'s most partner-centered grantmaking programs—\"Nourish & Flourish.\" My work has been featured in Food Bank News, Bowdoin Magazine, MaineBiz, and more, and recently recognized with an invitation to the inaugural Feeding America Neighbor Access & Experience Advisory Committee.I’m passionate about collaboration, narrative change, and the untapped leadership of women in food systems. I’m currently developing a writing practice rooted in storytelling and systems transformation, with the goal of elevating the voices of those who have long done the work behind the scenes.
